Technician Arie Hin (1927-2016) was a technician at the Netherlands Institute for Radio Astronomy (ASTRON). He studied Electronics in Hilversum (the Netherlands) between 1950 and 1954.
Work
In December of 1954 he started working for the Dutch Association for
Radio Emission of the Sun and the Milky Way (now the Netherlands Institute
for Radio Astronomy, ASTRON) under Ir. Lex Muller at the Würzburg-antenna
at Kootwijk.
He kept working at ASTRON until 1 July 1992 and contributed significantly
to the technical development of the Dwingeloo and Westerbork radio telescopes.
Now
During his retirement he remained very interested in all the
new developments in the area of radio astronomy.

He worked as a technician at the Würzburg-antenna.
He supported the students from Leiden and instructed them how to operate the
instrument properly to make the survey of the Galaxy.
