Go with the Flow of the North Atlantic Ocean

In July 2015 a group of ocean scientists, engineers and technical crew from all over the world set out on a 3-week research cruise to service oceanographic moorings across the Irminger Sea between Iceland and Greenland, deploy so-called underwater RAFOS floats and to do more measurements of the thermal and current structure of the ocean across this area. They sail on the Dutch Research Vessel Pelagia (Royal NIOZ, the Netherlands). The effort is part of the NACLIM and OSNAP research projects, and focusses on the study the sub polar North Atlantic Ocean. In this film oceanographers Laura de Steur and Femke de Jong show and explain what their reseach is about.

This film is a co-production between and Lightcurve Films.
