A Breath of Venus
My first educational series of four films centred on the exploration and study of planet Venus, in particular with the European Space Agency’s mission Venus Express.
The films are aimed at final years high school / first years university students.
The series feature five Venus scientists from as many different European countries, who speak five different languages and are shot in the UK, the Netherlands, Spain and Italy. In the main film, A Breath of Venus, I follow planetary scientists Jean-Loup Bertaux (Service d’Aéronomie du CNRS, France) and Jörn Helbert (German Space Agency) on a hike at the fuming volcano at the Island of Volcano (Italy). They encounter different phenomena there and tell how those relate to Venus and the study of that planet. The other three films go deeper into certain aspects related to Venus research and the Venus Express mission.
